The owners of this large family home wanted to replace the existing cement sheet holiday house with a contemporary residence that would not look out of place amongst older homes.
Instead of building towards the views, which were likely to be built out, we designed the house to connect with the immediate environment. The main living spaces are on the lower level - creating an easy connection to the pool, outdoor living spaces and garden.
The home's design also had to cater for a young family, leaving them room to grow. To achieve a level of separation, the two children's bedrooms share a bathroom, and there are two living areas separated by the kitchen. The master bedroom and a parental retreat occupy the second floor.
